State Senate District Map Will Stand

The California Supreme Court ruled unanimously Friday morning that the State Senate map drawn by the Citizen's Redistricting Commission can be used in the November 2012 election. The map was challenged by Republican groups who said the likelihood of a ballot referendum to nullify the new districts required the state's high court to intervene and draw a map of its own.
